When patients attend for a healthy heart check, or a hypertension review, the clinician may undertake a cardiovascular disease risk score. This score is calculated when the clinician reviews patient blood results and is an indication of a patients risk of developing cardiovascular disease which includes: heart attack, stroke and peripheral vascular disease.
